The Fall of the Void-Borer

Seven Lions face the Overcharged Leviathan high above the abyssal gulf of Aethelgard.

The Fall of the Void-Borer

Movement I: Into the Shattered Abyss

The wind above the Shattered Span of Aethelgard smelled of ozone and ancient dried mud. Hundreds of yards apart, massive basalt blocks floated in suspended orbit around a central tempest, held in place by flickering ley-lines forged by forgotten empires. Seven war-hardened Lions stepped across the chasm, leaping from drifting masonry to suspended flagstones. Beneath them lay thousands of leagues of empty air, howling with purple lightning that raced sideways through the squall.

From the pitch-black core of the vortex rose the Nethervoid Leviathan. It was a creature of horrifying mass, its obsidian scales humming with overcharged arcana that expanded its physical reach across the entire battleground. Without warning, the beast roared, releasing a wave of violet force that washed over the floating ruins. The shockwave slammed into the warband simultaneously, crackling through armor plates and rattling bone. Armor shattered across every warrior—Aeroblade, Dynarion, Astroleon, Goldspirit, Darklyn, Artisano, and Ignix all felt the crushing weight of its unnatural power before they could even set their boots.

Movement II: The Early Reckoning

Pride, however, was not easily extinguished in warriors of such caliber. Aeroblade growled through gritted teeth, executing a swift strike with wild martial fervor that left a sizzling rift across the beast's flank. Ignix followed with equal passion, landing a critical blow that chipped away obsidian scales. Darklyn then unleashed Radiant Burst, flooding the floating arena with scorching ivory glare that amplified the pride's offense, while Astroleon drove deep with Toxic Bite, dripping black venom into the creature's exposed veins.

By the third exchange, momentum seemed to belong to the hunters. Darklyn struck again with devastating precision, driving blade after blade into the Leviathan's soft joints. Aeroblade summoned Thunder Cleave, sundering the monster's defenses and exposing it to follow-up blows. Astroleon bounded across a floating archway to deliver Shadow Piercer, silencing the Leviathan's throat with dark sorcery. Goldspirit loosed a Frozen Arrow that encapsulated the creature's dorsal spine in crystalline frost, sealing the monster under a barrage of venom and heavy magic.

Movement III: Broken Confidence

The early success bred a fatal arrogance. As the silence on the Leviathan expired, its seven indigo eyes burned with overcharged fury. The creature whipped its gigantic tail, detonating the ambient void magic stored within its scales. The resulting explosion erupted across every floating stone at once. Aeroblade was thrown against a crumbling pillar; Dynarion's chestplate buckled; Darklyn was tossed like a ragdoll against the lip of the abyss.

A second catastrophic shockwave immediately followed. Confidence dissolved into panic. The Lions were bleeding heavily, their armor stripped down to bare steel and bruised flesh. Ignix, hovering on the verge of collapse, realized their mortal peril. Kneeling on a tilting flagstone, Ignix channeled Regeneration Of Maya, weaving radiant emerald strands of restorative energy across his own body to stem the tide of death, but the pride's formation was completely broken.

Movement IV: Reforged in Sacrifice

The Leviathan sensed blood and lunged toward the center ring. Astroleon, standing exposed on a narrowing ledge with shattered armor, lunged with raw bravado to draw the horror's attention. The serpent's massive maw snapped shut with brutal force. Astroleon fought valiantly to the last, but the devastating shock of the strike proved fatal. With a final gasp, the brave Lion plummeted from the precipice into the endless storm below.

Astroleon’s sacrifice galvinized the survivors. There was no room left for fear, only survival. Aeroblade and Dynarion both tapped into their ultimate inner reservoirs, casting Regeneration Of Maya in unison. Golden and green light bathed their battered limbs, stitching torn flesh and pumping renewed adrenaline into their veins. Goldspirit rallied, stepping over cracked masonry to drive heavy strikes straight into the monster's tail, while Darklyn poured pure, unyielding vengeance into continuous, crushing blows.

Movement V: Shattering the Void

The final moments of the encounter became a desperate endurance test against time and gravity. The Nethervoid Leviathan lashed out wildly, singling out Aeroblade, Artisano, and Dynarion in rapid succession, aiming to knock them into the sky. But the Lions refused to yield another inch of stone. Artisano stood firm on a tilting megalith, countering with dragon-fueled strikes that shattered the beast's underbelly.

Goldspirit landed strike after critical strike, carving deeply through frozen scales. Darklyn led the final charge, driving a radiant blade through the central eye of the monster. As Ignix, Artisano, and Dynarion added their remaining strength to the assault, the Nethervoid Leviathan gave a final, mournful scream. Its obsidian body fractured into thousands of violet shards, dissipating into the storm winds of Aethelgard as the tendrils of void energy finally faded away.

Round 5 of The Fall of the Void-Borer
Round 5

The silence that followed was deafening, broken only by the panting of six exhausted survivors standing amidst the drifting ruins. Though Astroleon had fallen to the abyssal depth, the remaining warriors secured total victory over the legendary horror in ten grueling rounds.

The spoils of the battle were gathered from the smoking remains of the creature's roost. The grand campaign yielded a total payout of 22296 PIXY, guaranteeing that every participant's committed stake was returned alongside substantial performance dividends for top strikers Darklyn and Goldspirit.

In addition to the treasure, valuable materials were retrieved from the ledge. Among the spoils distributed directly to the survivors, quantity 100 Clay Brick was awarded to Aeroblade and Artisano, while vast stockpiles of Coal and Iron were awarded to Goldspirit and Dynarion, ensuring their sacrifice above the chasm was honored in gold and steel.

Only when the tumult over The Shattered Span of Aethelgard had fallen silent did the material consequence become clear: the raid treasury released exactly 22296 PIXY, while Aeroblade bore 100 x 🧱 Clay Brick away from the ruins. The reward was no ledger entry, but a tangible mark left by the ordeal.
