The Gravity of Fractured Glass

The Silence Beneath the Void

Silence settles over the subterranean catacombs of the Obsidian Ziggurat of Oros like a shroud woven from ice and ash. Beneath the oppressive, swirling violet eclipse that has locked the sky in perpetual shadow, no wind blows through the exposed galleries of volcanic glass. The air remains static, heavy with the metallic tang of crushed armor and the lingering scent of ozone. Floating gravity monoliths drift inches above the stone floor, their motion frozen, mirroring the absolute stillness that now consumes the lower depths of the citadel.

On the shattered dais where the catacombs meet the desert basin, five forms lay motionless against the etched stardust inscriptions. Just twenty-four hours after the slaughter of the previous day, the pride had descended once more into the glass labyrinth, bound by a grim resolve to break the horror that haunted Oros. They brought five thousand stakes committed in blood and pride, daring to challenge the cosmic predator that had swallowed every vanguard before them. Now, only splintered glass and silent shadow remain.

Reconstruction: Fire and Venom

To understand how the vanguard fell, one must look back to the opening moments of the engagement, when hope still held against the dark. Galacturion had stepped forward first into the freezing gloom, weaving the glittering barrier of Phoenix Ward around his form to anchor the line. Beside him, Goldspirit surged with raw, golden power, executing an Attack Of Panda that struck Cosmora the Astral Devourer with a blinding impact, carving four hundred and ten points of direct damage through the monster’s nebular shroud. Aeroblade and Ignix followed immediately, unleashing their own panda-style assaults while Chromalio channelled the Regeneration Of Maya to fortify his companions against the bitter aura.

For a breath, the offensive appeared unstoppable. Ignix lunged through a rift in the floor, sinking a Toxic Bite deep into the entity’s skeletal ribcage. Green alchemical poison burned through Cosmora’s starry bones, dealing forty-eight points of corrosive damage over time while Ignix scored a devastating critical blow. Galacturion and Chromalio hammered the beast’s hollow core, exploiting the opening created by the venom. Yet Cosmora, imbued with a cruel malice that fed upon the weakened, merely absorb the blows into its swirling nebular form, waiting for the moment the pride’s momentum began to fray.

The Singularity Collapses

The turning point arrived with the terrifying roar of folded space. Cosmora manifested its specialty—a violent Gravity Well at the center of the catacombs. The air snapped inward with tremendous force, pulling all five warriors off their feet and slamming them toward the hollow singularity at the monster's core. The crushing pressure tore directly through their defenses, shattering Galacturion’s ward and leaving the entire frontline bruised and breathless beneath the weight of intense gravity.

Before the warriors could reorient, Cosmora capitalized on its Cruel trait, striking hard at those whose vitality had faltered. In a single sweep of sweeping astral force during the fourth round, Galacturion and Ignix were swept away, their armors obliterated and their spirits extinguished. Aeroblade fought valiantly to rally, restoring his health with ancient Maya chants, but the Astral Devourer singled him out next, driving a spike of starlight through his guard and ending his stand in the fifth round.

Left with only two, Chromalio and Goldspirit refused to yield the obsidian floor. Chromalio stood like a bastion, delivering critical counter-strikes of two hundred and forty-two and four hundred and thirty damage, matching Goldspirit’s fierce, desperate swings. But Cosmora’s assault was relentless. In the eighth round, a wide wave of compressed darkness caught Chromalio, reducing his remaining vitality to dust and leaving Goldspirit alone inside the howling shadow.
