Chapter III: The Glass Surge of Obsidian Ridge

The Abyssal Tyrant turns volcanic light to drowned ash in an eight-round defeat.

Chapter III: The Glass Surge of Obsidian Ridge

I. The Silent Glass

The silence upon The Obsidian Ridge is a physical weight, far heavier than the salt foam clinging to its razor-edged slopes. Where violent volcanic light once bled through cracked basalt, only steaming pools of scalding seawater remain. The third encounter against Poseidros ended not with the roar of victorious vanguard lions, but with the quiet, lingering hiss of ocean brine evaporating against hot volcanic glass. Coruscating violet electricity sparks lazily across the black cliffs, flickering out like dying embers in a drowned kingdom.

Below the ridge, the depthless sea hums with terrible satisfaction, having swallowed the entire five thousand PIXY stake committed to this desperate assault. Just as on the previous day, the mountain has been stripped clean of life and breath. There are no pawprints left upon the slick stone, no battle banners fluttering against the gale, only the bitter sheen of salt crusting over fractured basalt. To comprehend how five formidable champions were broken across eight brutal cycles, one must look past this deceptive quiet and reconstruct the violent momentum that shattered their assault.

II. The Splintered Line

The assault opened with a blinding surge of celestial light that cut through the midnight-hued clouds. Darklyn charged across the iridescent glass shards, channeling pure cosmic energy into a devastating Radiant Burst. The strike ripped through the gloom, blasting Poseidros for seven hundred and sixty-four damage in a single, thunderous instant. For a heartbeat, the Abyssal Tyrant staggered, its semi-corporeal form of churning sea-brine scattering against the dark monoliths. Goldarion rallied immediately beside him, activating Rising Fury to ignite his claws before landing an opening strike, while Sunclaw lunged into the blinding spray to slash for thirty-one damage.

Yet the tyrant was overcharged with ancient sea power. Poseidros raised his helm of rusted shipwrecks and summoned the Abyssal Torrent—a sweeping tsunami that battered all five vanguard warriors at once. The crushing pressure stripped thirty-three percent of their defense, fracturing their magical wards and leaving their armor useless against the elements. Sunclaw was overwhelmed by the crushing salt tide in the second exchange, falling before his claws could strike a second time. Dynarion fought valiantly to stabilize the line, invoking Regeneration of Maya to restore seventy-two health before launching a fierce Attack Of Panda, hammering the titan for two hundred and sixty critical damage. But the sea was merciless; Dynarion was swept over the cliff edge during the fourth cycle, joining Neroth, whose own protective magic was cut short before he could land a single offensive strike against the looming leviathan.

III. The Last Flame on the Ridge

With three champions claimed by the abyssal waves, the clash narrowed into a desperate struggle upon the highest peak. Darklyn stood relentless upon the slick glass, repeatedly striking through the dark storm to accumulate a monumental two thousand seven hundred and nineteen damage. Every claw swipe sent violet sparks cascading off Poseidros's coral breastplate. But during the sixth round, the titan roared—'Let the whole army burn!'—and unleashed an overwhelming torrent that finally broke Darklyn's radiant shield, leaving him motionless upon the volcanic rock.

That left Goldarion alone against the towering tide. Refusing to yield, Goldarion harnessed Regeneration of Maya to restore one hundred and seventy-eight health points, pressing forward with critical retaliatory strikes that carved deep grooves into the tyrant's aquatic form. Yet a solitary champion, stripped of armor by the relentless defense debuff, could not hold back the ocean indefinitely. In the eighth round, Poseidros crashed down with a final surge of pressure, extinguishing Goldarion's golden aura and ending the saga's third chapter in total defeat.

Round 6 of Chapter III: The Glass Surge of Obsidian Ridge
Round 6

Now, the high peaks of The Obsidian Ridge return to their suffocating calm. The roiling storm overhead bleeds faint bioluminescent light across the empty stone, washing over the slick basalt platforms where the lions made their stand. No victory rewards were brought down from the mountain; the venture concluded in defeat with a final payout of 0 PIXY.

Instead, the Abyssal Tyrant gathered the vanguard's abandoned supplies into his growing underwater troves deep within the volcanic trench. Claimed into the titan's ever-expanding hoard was a 🧺 Common Hospitality Kit along with a rare specimen of 🌋 Emberroot, leaving the surviving pride to lick their wounds and prepare for the day they must face the ocean's fury once more.
